Villa Ferdinando

Villa was a hit with the whole family. The management were friendly and helpful.

10 of us ages ranging from 11 to 63 had a fantastic week. The accommodation and facilities were superb. We enjoyed using the pizza oven, the barbecue and ,of course, the pool. The views were magnificent and the owners were very helpful. We are now planning our return visit.The local town has supermarkets, bakeries and an excellent gelateria. It is rare to find a villa with 6 double bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. This enabled 4 couple and 3 children to sleep harmoniously. The kitchen facilities enabled us to cook together every day. The sitting areas were very comfortable. The villa is well situated for visits to Florence and Siena as well as the smaller Tuscan towns. The villa was very clean when we arrived. We arranged a clean halfway through our week, and the cleaning team were delightful. The pool was ideal for a family with a good shallow end. There were plenty of loungers and a good shaded area with a table. Every morning the owner's team were cleaning the pool and the surrounding areas. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Overall we had a lovely fortnight at Villa Ferdinando. However our stay would have been perfect had the air conditioning in the children’s bedroom worked properly. The temperatures for the fortnight were in the 30s which made sleeping impossible in their room. The staff were slow to react each time the unit cut out. The back bedroom had a very unpleasant smell coming from either the bathroom plumbing or the sewerage system outside which needs addressing. Not a pleasant stay for my son and family.
The pool is a wonderful design for younger children but needs more significant shade.

Magnificent place, magnificent host. The pool is amazing with a spectacular view. We cooked for ourselves every night and enjoyed long meals with wine from their own vineyard at the outdoor dining table. Very roomy, clean, and well-appointed. If you are ready to be Under the Tuscan Sun in real style, this is the place!

The Villa was terrific. Fabio, the host, took great care of us and the private dinner arranged was incredible. It was very hot during our stay, but the AC all worked great and the pool was a little slice of heaven. It's down a narrow dirt road a bit, which was fine for us, but was unexpected.

This place is amazing. Family of 12 went and was wonderful. The whole place is brilliant. One villa with 5 rooms and a separate 2 bedroom villa. Views are breathless. Location is good and easy access to pretty much everywhere. We went to Florence, Siena and numerous medieval villages all easily within an hours drive. We will be back. We went last week of May and unfortunately weather wasn’t great and rained but didn’t put us off site seeing. The place is so good that if it were sunny all the time we wouldn’t have wanted to leave the amazing swimming pool. The owners have a real gem here and the wine they make on the vineyard is very good.

Good to excellent

Wonderfull villa with great view to San Gimignano. Hidden on hillside in the middle of olive trees. All rooms with it's own style, everything is clean and new. All rooms with air condition. Renter produces it's own wine with fantastic taste and a grandiose olive oil. The renters crew is very obliging and helpfull from shopping sites to restaurants all over to technical issues. Gorgeous pool with a great view from inside the pool to the surrounding area and San Gimignano. Absolute recommendable for great holidays.
